No, I do not. I eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other images that may dilute the overall product delivery. For example, because I shoot with low apertures, sometimes I take a few extra shots to make sure we have the perfect focus. I don’t expect you to have the expertise or the time to zoom into each image to select the one with the sharpest focus, so I spend hours doing that on my end. In another example, candid laughs and emotional tears are some of the best images from the day. Unfortunately, they can also yield some unflattering facial expressions. I might snap a few extras of any of these moments to make sure we have a great shot with the ideal expression for the moment. With my expertise of processing millions of images each year, I may eliminate ones that we feel are duplicates and only deliver the best one.
YES, this is my expertise!
Yes I do. Every image I deliver is post produced with my unique signature style of post-production. This involves color correction, exposure adjustment, selective black and white processing, clarity adjustments, tone-mapping, and other corrections. Many photographers will not post produce any images, or will only post produce “select” images from your session. This means that you may have pictures that are too dark, have strange skin tones or other common photography flaws.
“Touching up” in for me is brightening up colors, smoothing skin, and bringing our your eyes.
You have the right to reprint images whenever you want. However, you may not sell your images for profit or publish your images without the written consent of Shannon Harris Photography.
This does happen, and I'd be more than happy to assist you for a $50 fee. Please note that images lost after a year you will no longer be able to get. I only keep images up to 1 year of your session. This is because if I kept everyone's images I not have any room on my computer drive or backup drive ( yes i take that much photos.)
Yes, 3% of your total. If you are splitting payment up, and only paying the deposit before the shoot you WILL be charged the 3% twice due to 2 different transactions.
The primary purpose is to provide adequate compensation for myself and for the additional time spent in travel. Trips to Fort Wayne IN, for example, can take over an hour each way. This is time for which we have to compensate. For the is reason, unfortunately these fees are necessary.
